Nea Odos, informs the drivers that according to “Extreme weather conditions” announcement by the Hellenic National Meteorological service, a significant change in the weather conditions is expected from Saturday 16/01/2016 to Monday 18/01/2016. The main characteristics of this change will be local snowfalls in various areas of Greece, significant drop in temperature and strengthened winds. Nea Odos, has taken all necessary measures for the management of the abovementioned phenomena, aiming as always at providing the highest possible road safety levels. Nevertheless, in the road safety equation the role of the driver is starring. We remind you that, each vehicle must obtain snow chains, and when driving in extreme weather conditions you have to be calm and alerted. If you need to use snow chains, please remember that: The chains are placed on the drive wheels. Your speed should not exceed 30 km/h. The chains have been properly placed when they look and are stretched.   When driving on snowy road: Turn on the car’s fog lamps to ensure good visibility and to allow others see you. Reduce speed and significantly increase the distance that you usually maintain from vehicles in front of you. Do not apply the brakes suddenly, do not accelerate suddenly and do not turn suddenly. You should be making slow and gentle manoeuvres. If you need to slow down, try doing so gradually by changing down through the gears (from 4th to 3rd to 2nd etc.). Do not attempt to overtake in icy or snowy roads, unless the front car is completely immobilized.   Finally, we remind you that driving and stopping on the Emergency Lane is dangerous for you and your vehicle. This lane should be used only in cases of emergency. Do not forget! Driving illegally on the Emergency lane obstructs the passage of emergency vehicles! NEA ODOS S.A. announces that, on Friday, January 1st, 2016 at 00:01, the tolls annual indexation will be conducted. The new reduced fees are displayed in detail per toll station and vehicle category in the following tables. As for categories 1 and 2, (motorcycles & cars), reductions shall range from €0.05 to €0.10 and for categories 3 and 4, (trucks & buses), from €0.05 to €0.20. Current toll fees are also mentioned for your convenience, with the new reduced Toll Fees highlighted in red in the 'Toll Fees 2016' table column. Short-term traffic arrangements will take place on the PATHE motorway, at Bogiati I/C, from July 29 to July 31, 2013, to carry out construction and foundation works of Electronic Variable Message Signs (VMS) base. In particular, on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 07.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. there will be a road traffic closure in the left-hand traffic lane for both directions and, from 12.00 p.m. to 17.00 p.m., the Emergency Lane (L.E.A), direction to Lamia, will be closed as well. Finally, on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, from 09.30 a.m. to 14.00 p.m., there will be a road traffic closure in the left-hand traffic lane for both directions and, from 14.00 p.m. to 19.00 p.m., the Emergency Lane (L.E.A), direction to Lamia, will be closed as well. Traffic arrangements will take place on the PATHE motorway, in the traffic exit to Lamia, at Likovrissi I/C (Pyrna), to carry out sewage pipeline construction works. In particular, from Saturday, July 20, 2013 until Monday, July 29, 2013 there will be a 24-hour temporary and partial traffic closure on a maximum road width of three (3) meters, from the right-hand traffic exit from Athens to Lamia, at Likovrissi I/C (Pyrna), at the 12.6 km, to carry out sewage pipeline construction works. During this period, the traffic shall drive on the remaining part of the road and the maximum speed limit shall be forty (40) km/h for the area of the works. Nea Odos has taken all the necessary security measures for the safety of the drivers while relevant temporarily signs will be installed in the area to provide fully information regarding the diversion. Traffic arrangements will take place on the PATHE motorway, from km 59,35 to km 59,65, direction to Lamia, aiming to perform restoration works of the damaged pavement. More specifically, from Tuesday, July 22 to Wednesday, July 23, 2014, the traffic will drive on the right-hand traffic lane and, from Wednesday, July 23 to Thursday, July 24, 2014, the traffic will drive on the left-hand and middle traffic lane. Nea Odos has taken all the necessary security measures for the safety of the drivers while relevant temporarily signs will be installed in the area to provide fully information regarding the diversion. Traffic arrangements will take place on Tuesday, November 6, along A.TH.E. motorway and specifically near Inofyta, in order to proceed with (topographic) surveying works. Specifically, from 10:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m. and from the 54km to 56km direction towards Lamia, the left and middle lanes will be closed, and traffic will be channeled only onto the right traffic lane. Nea Odos has taken all necessary measures for the safety of the drivers, while relevant temporary signs will be installed in the area to provide full information. Nea Odos wants to thank the drivers for their understanding and also invites them to strictly follow the relevant signs and to show extreme caution when passing through this section.

Traffic arrangements will take place on Wednesday, October 31, along A.TH.E. motorway and specifically near Malakassa, in order to proceed with gantry signage repair works due to damage caused by overheight vehicle. Specifically, from 10:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m. and from the 42,8km to 43,5km direction towards Lamia, the middle, right, and Emergency Lanes will be closed, and traffic will be channeled only onto the left traffic lane. Nea Odos has taken all necessary measures for the safety of the drivers, while relevant temporary signs will be installed in the area to provide full information. Nea Odos wants to thank the drivers for their understanding and also invites them to strictly follow the relevant signs and to show extreme caution when passing through this section.

Traffic arrangements will take place along Ionia Odos, specifically at Antirrio - Gavrolimni section in order to perform electromechanical system maintenance works at Makyneia and Klokova tunnels. In particular, from Tuesday evening, October 23, at 21.00 p.m. to Wednesday morning, October 24, at 07:00 a.m., both traffic flows between Antirrio I/C, direction towards Ioannina, and Gavrolimni I/C, direction towards Antirrio, will be totally. During the above period, drivers moving towards Ioannina, will exit the motorway at Antirrio I/C and, through the Old National Road and by following the temporary information signs, will re-enter the motorway through Gavrolimni I/C. Respectively, drivers moving towards Antirrio will exit the motorway at Gavrolimni I/C and, through the Old National Road and by following the temporary information signs, will re-enter the motorway through Antirrio I/C. Finally, during the aforementioned traffic arrangements, toll collection will be suspended at Klokova Frontal Toll Station. Tolls will be collected normally at Gavrolimni Lateral Toll Station, by proportionally charging the drivers for travelling on South Agrinio I/C – Gavrolimni I/C section; that is to say, the section travelled (drivers moving towards Antirrio) or to be travelled (drivers moving towards Ioannina). Nea Odos has taken all necessary measures for the safety of the drivers, while relevant temporary signs will be installed in the area to provide full information. Traffic arrangements will take place on A.TH.E. motorway and specifically at Bogiati Interchange (I/C) (Agios Stefanos). Specifically, from Thursday evening, September 6, at 22:00 p.m. to Friday morning, September 7, at 06:00 a.m., road maintenance works will take place on the right side road, direction toward Athens which will remain close throughout the duration of the works, during which time traffic will go through a bypass road, by using appropriate temporary information signs, at Krioneri Avenue and Chelmou road, in order for the drivers to move toward Bogiati I/C. It should be mentioned that traffic going through the opposite direction of the lateral road will not be affected by the above traffic arrangements. Nea Odos has taken all necessary measures for the safety of the drivers, while relevant temporary signs will be installed in the area to provide full information. Long-term traffic arrangements will take place on A.TH.E motorway and specifically at Ritsona Interchange (I/C), direction towards Athens, from Monday, September 3 to Saturday, November 3, in order to proceed with construction works of the new Overpass. In particular, during the above period, works will be performed on a daily basis, during daylight hours, and on Saturday from 07:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m.; the entrance ramp from Ritsona I/C to the motorway, direction towards Athens, will be permanently closed (24 hours a day). Drivers who wish to enter the motorway through Ritsona I/C direction towards Athens, will be channeled to the secondary road network and, by following the appropriate information boards, will be diverted to Schimatari Semi-junction (Tanagra) in order to re-enter the motorway. Nea Odos has taken all necessary measures for the safety of the drivers, while relevant temporary signs will be installed in the area to provide full information. Long-term traffic arrangements will take place on Ionia Odos and specifically at Agrinio Interchange (I/C) (North), in order to perform earthworks. Specifically, from August 27, at 08:00 a.m., to September 14, at 19:00 p.m., one section of the acceleration lane direction towards Ioannina will be closed. Finally, from September 10 at 08:00 a.m., to September 28 at 19:00 p.m., the right traffic lane direction towards Antirrio will be closed. It should be mentioned that, in the event of faster works completion, traffic will be restored earlier than the scheduled time.
